Bir kaç not ekleyelim; çok yeni bir HP yazıcı kullanmıyorsanız, Linux Mint'de hplip'i elle kurmanıza/güncelemenize gerek yok. Bu yazılım Linux Mint ile kurulu geliyor. Yazıcı tanıtılması ile ilgili sorun genellikle hplip-plugin eklentisinden kaynaklanıyor. Bu sahipli bir eklenti olduğu için depoda olmuyor.

Hplip'in herhangi bir sürümü için hplip-plugin eklentisini aşağıdaki şekilde kurubilirsiniz.

1. Hplip sürümünü tespit etme.

Aşağıdaki komutlarla hplip sürümünü öğrenebilirsiniz.

2. Hplip eklentisini indirme.

Buradan sisteminizde kurulu hplip sürümüne uygun hplip-plugin eklentisini indirebilirsiniz.

3. Kurulum.

İndirdiğiniz eklentiye sağ tıklayın ve Özellikleri açıp dosyaya çalıştırma izni verin. Ardından dosyaya çift tıklayarak kurulum yapabilirsiniz.

Eğer "Error importing HPLIP modules.  Is HPLIP installed?" şeklinde bir hata alırsanız, aşağıdaki komutu uçbirimde çalıştırınız.
