evet doğru conky metin tabanlı olduğu için benzeri widget uygulamarı içerisinde en hafif ve hızlı olanıdır. Sizin kullandığınız saat eklentisi conky midir yoksa screenlets mi bilemiyorum.
Linux mint 16 yüklediğimde içerisinde gelen dijital saat. Tema ile aynı renkte
Masaüstüne ekdiğiniz bir uygulamacıktır (desklet), conky değil.
mate seçince... zaten ekranın ortasında sap gibi kaldı... Mate ile kullanımı anlatmanız iyi olur... LinuXMint 16 mate...ısrarla invalid diyor...

Linkte verilen şekilde kurulum yaptım temalar çalışıyor ancak maalesef temalarda saydamlık yok ne yapmam gerekiyor.Temayı seçtikten sonra. Ayarlar (Edit Widget) > Transparency seçeneği çıkıyor.

2- Conky temalarının kalbi .conkyrc dosyasıdır. Bu metin dosyası içinde yüklediğiniz conky temasının konfigürasyonu (renk, konum, şeffaflık vs vs ) bulunur. Bu dosya ev dizininizde gizli olarak tutulur. Bu dosyaya ulaşmak için ev klasörünüzde (yani belgeler, müzik, video gibi dosyaların bulunduğu klasörde menü seçeneklerinde (üstte) Görünüm>Gizli Dosyaları Göster seçeneğiyle görünür hale getirebilirsiniz.Ardından da başlangıç uygulamalarına girip Conky'yi devredışı bırakmayı deneyebilirsiniz.
