Firefox'ta video izlerken ya da Wireless açma-kapama butonuna basınca sistem donuyor. Sıklıkla ikincisinde oluyor bu. Güç düğmesinden sistemi kapatana kadar da düzelmiyor.

Burada (http://forum.linuxmint.net.tr/index.php?topic=1625.0) anlatıldığı biçimde günlük PPA deposundan geliştirici sürümü (şu an itibariyle 2.5 sürüm) yüklemeyi deneyebilirsiniz. Sorun devam ederse konuda önceki sürüme nasıl dönüleceği ile ilgili açıklama da mevcut.

Her deneyişimde olmuyor. O yüzden komutları da 10-15 sefer denedim. Herhangi bir kilitlenme olmadı. Soruna panel uygulamacığı sebep oluyormuş gibi duruyor ama onunla hiç ilgilenmeden sadece film izlediğim vakitlerde de aynı şeyi yaşadığım oldu.

Kilitlenme sorunu Nvidia GPU'yu etkinleştirerek çalıştırdığınız bir uygulama açıkken mi oluyor.
Örneğin Firefox, VLC gibi bir uygulamayı Nvidia GPU ile mi başlatıyorsunuz?
Eğer öyle ise bu uygulamaları Intel GPU ile çalıştırdığınızda donma sorununun olup olmadığını kontrol eder misiniz?

Yok hayır zaten Nvidia'yı çok nadir kullanıyorum. Yine de Firefox ve VLC'yi kontrol ettim. Komut satırlarında falan Nvidia ile ilgili bir şey
gözükmüyor.

Video seyretmek için VLC'yi mi kullanıyorsunuz?

Bir de paneldeki kablosuz ağ uygulamacığının bir özelliği geldi aklıma, Cinnamon'da istenirse klasik kipdeki ağ uygulmacığı kullanılabiliyor. Bunun için ağ uygulamacığına sağ tıklayıp "Bu uygulamacığı sil" seçeneği ile mevcut ağ uygulamacığını kaldırınız. Böyle yapınca sistem çekmesine otomatik olarak Gnome 2'den (ya da Mate) alışık olduğumuz uygulamacık geliyor. Bakalım bununla sorun olacak mı?

Video için VLC kullanıyorum evet. İkinci mesajınızdaki çözümü denedim işe yaramadı.
Çekirdek güncellemeyi ise yarın denemem gerekiyor şu an internet hızı yeterli değil maalesef.
Kernel 3.19.8'i yeni deneme fırsatı buldum. Aynı donmayı onda da yaşadım az önce.
Ayrıca sorun Cinnamon'dan kaynaklanıyor olabilir diye Mate masaüstünü kurdum. Ama onda da donma sorunu yaşadım.

Aşağıdaki komutlar ile Bumblebee ve Nvidia ile ilgili paket ve ayar dosyalarını kaldırıp,
sudo apt-get purge nvidia-346 nvidia-settings bumblebee bumblebee-nvidia primus primus-libs-ia32
sonra komut ile Bumblebee'yi minimal olarak kurmayı deneyiniz.
sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends bumblebee
Eğer Bumblebee kurulum konusunda anlatıldığı biçimde Bumblebee-ui uygulamacığını da kurdu iseniz, bunu kontrol edip herhangi bir uygulama ile Nvidia GPU ilişkilendirilmişse pasifleştirmeyi deneyiniz.

Kilitlendiğinde CTRL+ALt+F1 ile TTY1 uçbirimine ulaşabiliyor musunuz? Eğer ulaşılabiliyorsa aşağıdaki komut ile dmesg komutunun çıktısını kullanıcı ev dizini içinde dmesg isimli bir dosyaya yazdırınız.

VLC => Araçlar menüsü => Ayarlar => Giriş ya da Kodlayıcı/Çözücü sekmesi altındaki Donanım-hızlandırmal çözücü (Hardware-accelerated decoding) seçeneği kapalı ise açmayı, açık ise kapalı konuma getirmeyi deneyebilirsiniz.
Ek olarak Java sürümünü değiştirmek (http://forum.linuxmint.net.tr/index.php?topic=2466.msg15604#msg15604) denenebilir.

Sistemde eski çekirdekler duruyorsa, örneğin 3.13.x sürümlerden biri ile sistemi açıp durumu kontrol edebilir misiniz? Sorunun bu konuda (http://forum.linuxmint.net.tr/index.php?topic=2831.0) uygulanan yamalanmış kablosuz ağ sürücüsünden kaynaklanma olasığını düşünmeye başladım.

Sürücünün modüllerini çekirdekten kaldırmak için /etc/modules dosyasını yönetici olarak açıp
sudo gedit /etc/moduleseklediğiniz satırları silip bilgisayarı yeniden başlatabilirsiniz. Böylece yamalı sürücünün çekirdek modülleri başlamayacaktır.

Sistemi varsayılan ayara döndürdükten sonra 3.13.0-37 ve 3.16.0-30 çekirdeklerinde donma olmadı. 3.19.x'te sorun devam ediyor.

Bu sürüme masaüstünü yeniden başlatmak için bir klavye kısayol seçeneği eklendi (https://github.com/linuxmint/Cinnamon/commit/6279924691aead93b4738f3ab20764c6a0513146) yakın zamanda. Masaüstü donduğunda CTRL+ALT+ESC tuşları ile Cinnamon'u yeniden başlatmayı deneyip, sonra dmesg komutunun çıktısını paylaşmaya çalışınız.

Maalesef söylediğiniz klavye kısayolu işe yaramadı. Artık iş tamamen network-manager'e döndü. Dondurmak istediğimde kablosuz ağ yöneticisine dokunuyorum ve direk donuyor.
Edit: Kendiliğinden donmalar da sanırım kablosuz ağda kopma vb. durumlarda gerçekleşiyor son gözlemlerime göre.

Network manager yerine Wicd denenebilir. Bunun için aşağıdaki komut ile Wicd'yi kurabilirsiniz.
sudo apt-get install wicd wicd-gtk
Network manager uygulamasını kontrol nm-applet uygulamacığını pasifleştirmek gerekecek. Bu uygulamacık Başlangıç Uygulamalarında varsayılan olarak gizlidir, aşağıdaki komut ile görünür yapınız.
sudo sed -i "s/NoDisplay=true/NoDisplay=false/g" /etc/xdg/autostart/nm-applet.desktop
Şimdi Başlangıç Uygulamalarını açıp "Ağ" (nm-applet) uygulamacığını pasifleştirip sistemi yeniden başlatmayı deneyelim.
